Liminal Space Photography

Discover the beauty hidden within forgotten places.

This photography project explored liminal and abandoned spaces, focusing on locations that evoke feelings of nostalgia, isolation, and curiosity. The challenge was not simply documenting these environments, but capturing the emotions they inspire.

Before photographing, I researched the visual characteristics commonly associated with liminal imagery and explored how composition, lighting, and perspective influence the viewer's experience. I then visited a variety of locations, searching for scenes that felt suspended between past and present.

Using digital photography and careful post-processing, I created a series of images that highlight the quiet atmosphere and unexpected beauty found in spaces often overlooked or left behind.
